Project Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

MANUFACTURING PROJECT ENGINEER

As a Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating manufacturing projects to ensure they meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and procurement, to drive project success.

PROFESSIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Align project goals and objectives of the initial design concept to implement the requirements.
  • Develop technical specifications and CAD drawings for machine and manufacturing processes.
  • Effectively define the project planning and utilization of Capital.
  • Perform equipment ROI analysis to grant acceptable OEE standards.
  • Justify the implementation of manufacturing processes that maximize efficiency, layout equipment, workflow, assembly, and workforce utilization.
  • Conduct time studies and cost analysis to improve product quality and easy system operation.
  • Manage the project schedule, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress.
  • Prepare requests for quotations, evaluate proposals, and document processes.
  • Validate the implemented process with FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ requirements, others.
  • Key contact for problem resolution and technical guidance.
  • Lead projects with the assistance of Cabinet Manufacturing teams.
  • Strong communication bridge between all departments and upper management.
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external suppliers.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stay up to date with product, industry, and software knowledge.
  • Cross-trained with Manufacturing roles.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cabinet experience.
  • Hands-on experience with fluid handling equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, and piping systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
